MEDIK8 - GLOBAL COPYWRITER - 12 month maternity cover starting Mid July 2024
The Brand team plays a pivotal role within Medik8 by producing exciting assets that build out our campaigns, drive sales on and offline plus developing and engaging our social media communities. Very much digital and creative people, we collaborate across the organisation to deliver first-class design, content, products and services in an agile and data-driven manner.

Why you cannot miss this opportunity
As an expert in compelling copywriting, we are looking for a maternity leave cover who will capture the principles and values that built the Medik8 brand and showcase our amazing products, services and culture. You will create exciting and informative content that not only engages and educates our global audiences but also inspires them to want to learn more.
You will be a pivotal player in the Brand team and produce content across a range of media including digital campaigns, brand storytelling and selected packaging. Working in close liaison with our R&D team, you will interpret our incredible science and technology stories and distill them into compelling, easy to understand messages that sets Medik8 apart in the premium skincare market.

In more detail your role will include:
- Leading the business for copywriting consistency and excellence aligned with the new brand blueprint
- Taking detailed briefs from Brand and R&D Team and translating them into compelling, on-brand, must-read content across largely digital platforms (in particular: owned websites, etailer websites, blogs)
- In collaboration with R&D, writing thought leadership articles; always within brand tone of voice
- Developing ingredient, technology and position-led blog posts for owned websites
- Creating campaign straplines, secondary sub-lines, email content, social posts, video scripts and alike to support marketing calendar campaigns
- Working with Head of Sustainability to distill our wide suite of sustainability initiatives into 1 disruptive but easy to understand proposition
- Selected packaging copywriting e.g. seasonal gift sets, beauty accessories
- Have experience working in a similar role
- Have excellent copywriting and storytelling skills (SEO experience desired but not essential)
- Have proofreading experience and scrupulous attention to spelling and grammar
- Are a strong verbal communicator with the ability to manage a varied workload in a pressured environment
- Are passionate about beauty and possess the ability to translate scientific information into consumer-friendly content in a punchy and succinct style.
