The Logistics and Warehouse team is integral to the success of Medik8’s global operations. This team oversees the movement of products from order creation to customer delivery, ensuring we meet our service level agreements while maintaining the highest standards in efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. The B2B operations are a core part of this team, ensuring smooth order management for business customers and delivering an exceptional experience.
As B2B Despatch Manager you will oversee the Business-to-Business (B2B) operations, with a particular focus on order well management to ensure the business exceeds its service level agreements while sustainably delivering high levels of customer service.
You will report directly to the Global Logistics Manager and manage a team of 3, coordinating efforts with wider Logistics, Warehouse, and Customer teams to drive efficiency and success. You will also collaborate closely with external logistics suppliers and carriers to ensure cost-effective, sustainable, and on-brand delivery solutions.
In more detail your role will include:
- Manage all orders to ensure they are dispatched on time and per the customer's requirements.
- Manage and troubleshoot any picking or packing queries to minimise delays.
- Liaise with customers to ensure that specific requirements are documented and adhered to.
- Manage outbound 3PL shipments, coordinating with the business customers and carriers to ensure OTIF and on-brand deliveries to all customers.
- Investigate and manage any customer complaints as per the company process and procedures.
- Monitor, measure and ensure continued high levels of service to the end customer
- Review service-level agreements with the logistics suppliers and ensure 100% adherence, taking prompt corrective actions whenever required.
- Anticipate and adapt capacity as per the business needs by coordinating with internal departments and logistics suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the carriers to ensure the most cost-effective and sustainable options are utilised.
- Line manage a team of 3 and coordinate work for the wider Logistics and Warehouse teams
- Train and develop a team to operational success and ensure all relevant Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to.
- Continuously review existing practices to develop better ways of working.
- Collaborate with other functions within the business to ensure smooth operational effectiveness and stock availability.
- Prepare and present regular logistics/transport reports, tracking logistics performance against KPIs.
- Ensure Medik8 brand values and sustainability principles are upheld in all deliveries, keeping the logistics suppliers up-to-date with our guidelines.
- Ensure compliance for both general and health and safety-specific requirements in logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within an FMCG environment.
- Demonstrates operational excellence and people management skills.
- Prior experience in international logistics.
- Strong understanding of Customs Requirements, including specific knowledge of export documentation and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a team.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to balance tasks and work with precision in a fast-paced environment.
