Social Media Manager
We have an exciting opportunity available within our Social team! As our Social Media Manager, you will join our Global Customer Experience team and report directly to the Head of Communications. You will lead and define the global social media strategy, establishing long-term plans for social media growth, providing strategic counsel and expert insights.
Collaborating with the voices of our business and working closely alongside regional teams, you will deliver social-first campaigns that drive global brand awareness, visibility and credibility within the skincare vertical whilst educating and exciting our community.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and social media-obsessed with their finger closely on the pulse of the cosmeceutical social space and emerging digital trends. With a strong commercial mindset, they will form the social strategy to support our global websites and professional network by driving acquisition to convert sales through campaigns and new launches.
This role will make a significant contribution to our ambitious global journey. Playing a key role in driving worldwide audience growth, you will own and drive the social presence of one of the most innovative and conscious brands on the market!
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Strategy Development: Ideates, leads and executes overarching growth and platform strategies to strengthen our community, increase engagement, and meet business objectives.
- Strategic Social Growth: Strategically plans for social futureproofing, campaigns and platform expansion. Reports to stakeholders to aid decision-making around future evolutions.
- Platform Management: Manages all back-end platform management, structure and paid media organic campaigns. Has close relationships with Meta & TikTok platform account managers.
- Thought Leadership: Is at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in content strategy, sharing insights with key stakeholders.
- Social Platform Delivery: Oversees and manages the brand's presence across multiple social channels, setting measurable objectives in line with our communication strategy and overall business goals.
- Social Media Management: Makes data-led decisions to shape and form all platform outputs to be best in class, quickly and efficiently growing Medik8’s visibility and virality.
- Team Management: Manages in-house content creators to deliver exceptional content, continually challenging and pushing the boundaries to ensure Medik8 goes viral.
- Analysis & Reporting: Owns the data analysis of social platforms to identify opportunities in customer interactions, developments in social media, digital technologies and competition to plan our campaigns and achieve the maximum ROI.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborates with regional partners to ensure a cohesive and integrated social presence, troubleshooting any issues. Collaborates closely with the UK & US teams to deliver effective social strategies to support market goals and initiatives.
We are looking for:
Significant proven experience managing multiple social accounts and leading a team of content creators.
Proven experience in content strategy or related fields.
Proven experience as a strategist on global accounts, with the ability to scale content strategies across multiple regions and markets.
Strong project and campaign management skills with an analytical approach to key metrics, reporting and making data-led decisions.
Social expert in the best practice principles, trends, rules and regulations.
An innate understanding of the premium skincare space.
Proficiency in digital platforms, analytic social media tools.
A commercial mindset, operating with integrity and transparency to drive decisions through facts and data.
A growth mindset with the ability to adapt to change and continuously seek improvement with a self-starting attitude.
