Social Media Manager FTC
We are seeking a high-impact Interim Senior Social Media Manager to lead and execute our global organic social media strategy for a 4-month contract. This hybrid role is based 3 days onsite at our Head Office in Elstree, Borehamwood.
This critical role requires a strategic, analytical, and hands-on leader capable of driving virality and significant follower growth across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest).
You will own the global content calendar, manage an internal content team, and act as the central social media liaison for cross-functional teams, distributors, and regional markets.
Responsibilities:
1. Organic Social Calendar Management
- Shapes the global organic social calendar for all platforms.
- Working closely with in-house and external Content Creators, Brand, R&D and Education teams to plan, brief and execute socially-first global campaigns and brand storytelling for maximum impact and virality.
- Ensures a best in class standard; quickly and efficiently growing Medik8’s visibility and virality with each interaction while supporting followership growth and engagement goals.
- Inspires the internal Content Creation team by facilitating sharing of best practices, competitor brand inspiration, trends, soundbites etc to make hyper-relevant fit for platform content per channel.
2. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborates with our distributor partners to ensure a cohesive and integrated social presence, troubleshooting any issues.
- Collaborates closely with the UK & US teams to deliver effective social strategies to support market goals and initiatives.
- Collaborates with regional paid social teams and Global Community Manager to arrange whitelisting of any organic content for paid and followership campaigns.
3. Analysis & Reporting
- Owns the data analysis of social platforms to identify opportunities in customer interactions, developments in social media, digital technologies and competition to plan our campaigns and achieve the maximum ROI.
- Provides monthly reporting to aggregate learnings and recommendations for future channel improvement.
4. Team Management
- Manages in-house content creators deliver exceptional content, continually challenging and pushing the boundaries to ensure Medik8 goes viral.
- Deliverables Social calendar built out a minimum of 6 weeks ahead.
- Weekly analysis on key social metrics to Global Head of Communications - followership, engagement rate and recommendations for optimisation.
- Monthly social media reports to senior stakeholders on latest metrics, key wins and opportunities.
We are looking for:
Significant proven experience managing multiple social accounts and leading a team of content creators.
Proven experience in content strategy or related fields.
Proven experience as a strategist on global accounts, with the ability to scale content strategies across multiple regions and markets.
Strong project and campaign management skills with an analytical approach to key metrics, reporting and making data-led decisions.
Social expert in the best practice principles, trends, rules and regulations.
An innate understanding of the premium skincare space.
Proficiency in digital platforms, analytic social media tools.
A commercial mindset, operating with integrity and transparency to drive decisions through facts and data.
A growth mindset with the ability to adapt to change and continuously seek improvement with a self-starting attitude.
