Management Accountant - 6 Month FTC
About the Role
We’re looking for a commercially-minded Management Accountant to join our Finance team at Medik8. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys translating numbers into actionable insights that support business growth.
You will play a key role in monitoring financial performance, managing costs, and supporting month-end processes, while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Analysis & Reporting
Conduct detailed variance analysis of budget vs. actual performance, providing actionable insights to management.
Monitor cost structures, identify savings opportunities, and recommend ways to improve efficiency.
Support month-end closing processes including journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports for senior management to support decision-making.
2. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams to gather information, explain variances, and meet reporting deadlines.
Assist in maintaining high standards across the Finance team, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.
3. Compliance & Audit Support
Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Assist with external reporting, including VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
4. Team Collaboration
Support colleagues in the Finance team as needed, promoting consistency and sharing knowledge to maintain a high-performing team environment.
Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in management accounting, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Strong proficiency in financial software, Excel, and reporting tools.
Excellent analytical skills, with an ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
Highly organised and detail-oriented.
Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Strong communication skills to explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
