Hygiene Operative
We're currently looking for a dedicated and meticulous Hygiene Operative to join our fast-paced manufacturing team.
This vital position is responsible for ensuring the Manufacturing Department maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliance. You will be responsible for the meticulous cleaning and sanitation of production areas and equipment, directly supporting a safe, contamination-free environment.

For this opportunity, we are offering up to £26,250 depending on experience. Working Monday to Friday onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
Area Sanitation: Execute thorough cleaning and sanitisation of production floors, walls, and work surfaces, ensuring they are consistently free from dirt, dust, spills, and manufacturing debris.
Equipment Cleaning: Perform detailed manual cleaning procedures for all production machinery and equipment to prevent cross-contamination and ensure operational readiness.
Protocol Adherence: Strictly follow all established cleaning protocols, documented work instructions (SOPs), and departmental schedules to maintain a consistently hygienic and GMP-compliant environment.
Chemical Handling: Safely handle, prepare, and store a range of cleaning chemicals and agents (detergents, disinfectants). Ensure the correct operation and maintenance of all cleaning equipment.
Waste Management: Efficiently manage and dispose of all production and general waste materials (including potential hazardous waste) in strict accordance with company SOPs and environmental guidelines.
Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental protocols, including the consistent and correct use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and uniforms.
Communication: Effectively communicate with manufacturing and quality assurance teams to schedule tasks efficiently, minimise disruption, and complete required cleaning logs/checklists.
Requirements:
Previous professional cleaning experience is required, preferably within a manufacturing environment (desirable).
Proven knowledge of the safe handling, dilution, and use of industrial cleaning chemicals and disinfectants.
A strong, uncompromising commitment to maintaining extremely high standards of cleanliness in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) setting.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively within a production team environment.
Excellent attention to detail and good verbal communication skills to relay status updates and issues effectively.
