Head of Marketing EMEA & RoW
The EMEA & ROW Head of Marketing plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the integrated marketing plan for the region.
Reporting to the Regional GM (EMEA & ROW), this leadership position requires a deep understanding of the latest in beauty brand, digital/social and trade marketing, with a proven track record of driving growth through brand-building strategies and 360 campaign activation in key European and Global Markets (Australia key strategic market outside of Europe).
Working closely with Channel teams (DTC, B2B) and directly with our distributors, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing brand marketing initiatives, focusing on driving consumer awareness and consideration in disruptive and innovative ways, building brand equity and category-leading engagement to foster a community of loyal consumers and advocates.
We are building the team under this role, with currently 1 Marketing Executive and 1 PR & Social Manager, but actively hiring for a Trade Marketing Manager. Within the D2C team in the region we also have Retention and CRM positions who work collaboratively to ensure the best omni-channel experience and exposure for customers.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week based at our office in Borehamwood and 2 days from home.
Salary: £85,000 - £100,000.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Brand Marketing
Develop, evolve and implement a comprehensive full-funnel marketing plan that drives brand awareness in each of the countries, engagement and advocacy, delivering sales revenue across the multi-channel markets (DTC, Retail, Etail, Professional Clinics) and growing our community of loyal brand advocates.
Bring the latest in marketing and beauty trends, ideas and opportunities to generate disruptive campaigns and always-on activations that are distinctively different and adequate to each of the territories.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: PR/thought leadership, events/experiential, social media, media and brand partnerships, influencer collaborations, sampling.
Set, monitor and report back on brand and campaign performance metrics to evaluate success and make adjustments as needed, to drive marketing effectiveness.
Use data-driven and consumer insights to make informed decisions and optimise marketing strategies
2. Trade Marketing
Work closely with the EMEA & ROW Head of E-commerce to ensure integration with performance marketing plans (paid social media, affiliates, SEM, influencers, CRM).
Collaborate with the B2B Sales Team and our distributors, to optimise plans end-to-end, delivering and negotiating a trade marketing calendar that maximises visibility and conversion across each territory to include Professional, Retail, Etail and Pharmacy.
3. Budget
Own the full EMEA & ROW Marketing budget: setting, allocating, and tracking spend across channels, markets, and partners to ensure alignment with business priorities and ROI targets.
Execute against the Yearly Marketing calendar, on time and on budget, managing and fostering a strong relationship with Distributors’ teams, PR agencies, and Trade Marketing and Sales teams.
Support BDMs in holding distributors to account for their contractual marketing spend and ensure optimised against our best practices and strategy.
4. Brand Guardianship
Consistently maintain Medik8's brand identity, ensuring it aligns with the organisation's values and goals across the region and with all partners.
5. Capability Building & Community Engagement
Build an engaged community of distributors' marketing teams.
Share best practices, insights and learning across the distributor network.
Support with capability building as required in our strategic distributors and BDMs.
6. Team build & development
Grow & develop a team of marketing experts to support the growth ambitions of the region.
Coach individuals to reach their full potential and work with them to build fulfilling careers.
Collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure best practice sharing.
What we’re looking for:
A creative and innovative thinker, who can bring disruptive new ideas and lead a team and project to make them happen, at pace.
A proven track record of campaign successes/ROI and business impact across multiple different markets.
Strong understanding of consumer experience and preferences in different markets.
An experienced leader and strong communicator/negotiator.
Strong team builder and coach.
Strong commercial acumen.
European languages are beneficial but not necessary.
