At Medik8, we don’t just follow trends; we formulate the future of skincare. As our Social Media Lead, you will be the driving force behind our global digital presence, transforming complex cosmeceutical science into high-impact social storytelling.
Joining our Global Customer Experience team and reporting to the Head of Communications, you will take full ownership of our social ecosystem. This is a role for an expert who marries strategic counsel with creative agility, ensuring our commitment to scientific integrity and collaborative excellence resonates across every platform.
The Role
You will be responsible for the end-to-end social strategy, moving from high-level planning to real-time execution. By collaborating with the key voices across the business, you will deliver social-first campaigns that sharpen our brand credibility and excite our global community. You will have the autonomy to run with your bright ideas, backed by data and a deep understanding of the premium skincare vertical.
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000
Your Responsibilities
Social Strategy & Growth: Own the global social calendar, making data-led decisions to ensure our output is best-in-class. You will be accountable for growing Medik8’s visibility and driving organic virality.
Platform Mastery: Manage all backend structures and organic campaigns, maintaining direct relationships with platform partners at Meta and TikTok to keep us at the forefront of digital evolution.
Expert Insight: Act as the internal authority on emerging technologies and content trends, sharing breakthrough insights with stakeholders to keep our strategy inventive and resourceful.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor an in-house team of content creators. You will foster a supportive environment where the team is encouraged to challenge boundaries and evolve their creative skills.
Regional Collaboration: Partner closely with our UK and US teams to amplify local activations and talent partnerships, ensuring a cohesive global voice with regional relevance.
Performance Analysis: Own the reporting suite for all social channels. You will identify shifts in customer interaction and competitor landscapes to ensure every campaign achieves maximum impact and ROI.
What We Are Looking For
Proven Experience: You have at least 3 years of experience managing significant social accounts and leading content teams within a fast-paced environment.
Skincare Savvy: An innate understanding of the premium or cosmeceutical skincare space is essential. You know what makes a community click.
Analytical Mindset: You are comfortable with digital tools and platform analytics, using data to justify creative risks and refine your approach.
Project Ownership: You are a self-starter with strong campaign management skills and the ability to navigate ambitious growth goals.
Adaptive Growth: You possess a growth mindset and a "low ego" approach to feedback, constantly looking for ways to protect our values while pushing our digital boundaries.
