Senior Manager of North America PR & Events
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid: 2 fixed days in office – Tuesday & Wednesday, with travel as needed)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 base salary per year + discretionary bonus

As the Sr. Manager of North America PR & Events, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our fast-growing North America team. Reporting to the Director of Advocacy & Influencer and leading the press facing communications and IRL experience of the brand.
We’re seeking a dynamic, strategic senior manager who can lead key press relationships and communications framework, and define the brand experience through eventing and execute flawlessly.
This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and partnership with the Global Communications and local US based team to drive brand awareness as the brand scales. We’re looking for an experienced manager with deep connections to press and industry, strong communications storytelling, flawless execution and proven ability to build brand buzz and excitement.
Key Responsibilities
Public & Media Relations
Drive and implement the North America PR strategy to align with Medik8’s strategic objectives and marketing calendar.
Cultivate strong relationships with key editors, opinion leaders and tastemakers to secure -placements across digital, broadcast and print media placements.
Build and Elevate Medik8 Founder Awareness In the North America market as key thought leader through press pitching, broadcast personal appearances, etc.
Lead all media-facing eventing including editor desksides and press focused trips along with personalized gifting programs.
Monitor and report on industry trends, competitive and Medik8 coverage and key press KPIs.
Collaborate with Media team on affiliate press support and coverage.
Manage the PR agency day-to-day and lead all press initiatives for all new product launches and re-support product campaigns.
Review and manage PR budget and goals including press impressions, SOV and industry awards.
Eventing & Experiential
Lead the planning for all Medik8 events including Consumer/Loyalty, Press/Influencer, Masterclasses, Trade/Conferences (e.g. AAD) and Retail creating scalable playbooks and frameworks for consistent brand execution.
End-to-end execution from planning to executing Consumer/Loyalty events, Press/Influencer and Trade/Conference Events.
Partner closely with Global team, Advocacy & Influencer team and retail teams to deliver best -in- class experiences.
Manage agencies, vendors and production and budgets of all Medik8 eventing.
Conduct reporting and analysis of event performance with actionable insights to key stakeholders.
People & Team Leadership
Partner cross-functionally with global team, integrated marketing team and other heads of channels (wholesale, .com, Amazon).
Foster a culture of accountability, data, excellence, and performance.
Requirements:
Significant experience in beauty PR (preferably within clinical or prestige skincare) with a proven track record of managing large-scale event production.
Proven ability to operate as a "pragmatic visionary", combining big-picture creative ideas with data-driven execution and clear ROI analysis.
Direct experience working closely with top-tier beauty retailers, specifically Sephora or Ulta.
Existing, warm relationships with the "gatekeepers" of the beauty industry (editors, makeup artists, agents, stylists, and retail stakeholders).
NYC-based and comfortable in a hybrid role, 2 fixed days in the office (Tuesday/Wed), with travel as needed.
